More than a week after a car struck and killed a man before driving away, Los Angeles police are asking the public for help identifying the driver.
A man crossed westbound De Soto Avenue in Canoga Park just north of Gresham Street around 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 6, when a gray or silver car traveling southbound on De Soto hit him and kept driving, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. He was in his early 40s and lived in Canoga Park. He has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
Police released a video of the crash on their YouTube page and are asking anyone with information or who witnessed the collision to contact investigators at 818-644-8022 or 818-644-8033.
