Old Town Newhall holiday lights glow during Santa Clarita’s annual display
As the sun sets each evening, Old Town Newhall pushes the darkness away with a sea of lights. The Santa Clarita Valley’s Old Town Newhall becomes five blocks of glowing holiday lights during the City of Santa Clarita’s annual Holiday Lights display.
The festive lights shine each night from mid-November through the New Year. Tens of thousands of lights fashioned into holiday-themed displays adorn Main Street, including a decorated Christmas tree in front of the Old Town Library, a menorah, and a Military Honor Tree at Santa Clarita’s Veterans Historical Plaza.

On a cold December night, Old Town Newhall was warmed with smiles, laughter, and, of course, many, many holiday lights.
A group of friends out for dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area stopped for a photo inside a gazebo covered in lights. After the impromptu photo shoot, they gathered around the phone, smiling at the pictures before continuing their night out.
The sidewalk filled with people as shoppers and diners admire the displays. Many stopped for photos to satisfy their social media feeds. With giant picture frames, arches, and presents, photo opportunities are many.
