The baby was found around 5:30 a.m. in the area of San Pedro and Sixth streets.
Citing a source close to the investigation, KNX News reported that about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, a woman called authorities from the Weingart Center homeless services facility — located at the same intersection — and reported she was bleeding. Paramedics responded and took the woman to a hospital.
