The Big Apple’s Katz’s Delicatessen, specializing in pastrami sandwiches, is coming to West Hollywood’s Bar Next Door for one day on Saturday, June 29.
Katz’s: The Bar Next Door pop-up will sell a limited number of sandwiches and specialty cocktails from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The eatery is returning to Los Angeles after its last visit around Hanukkah in December 2022, when it sold a pastrami and latke holiday package through a third-party delivery service. Pastrami enthusiasts can purchase half a sandwich for $25 and a full-size one for $45.
The pop-up will also feature a full cocktail menu or the Coors Banquet lager combo, including a dirty martini shot made with vodka, pickle, olive, and pepperoncini brine for $16. If guests are impressed with sandwiches or are die-hard fans of the New York eatery, they can also purchase a limited-edition baseball hat for $45 on-site or through Postmates.
In an exclusive partnership with Postmates, Katz’s will offer its meaty iconic sandwiches made with pickles and house-made mustard for delivery. First-time Postmaters can use code KATZSDELI30 to get $30 off orders of $35 or more while supplies last.
Katz’s Delicatessen has worked to perfect its pastrami sandwiches at 205 E. Houston Street on New York City’s Lower East Side since the 1880s. It’s been featured in serval food documentaries and even appeared in the hilarious “I’ll have what she’s having” scene in the 1989 rom-com, “When Harry Met Sally…”
