“There Is a Light That Never Goes Out” in Los Angeles this December as Morrissey announces three special shows to close out the year.
Fans can catch the iconic singer at The United Theater on Broadway on Dec. 28-29, followed by a New Year’s Eve celebration at the Hollywood Palladium on Dec. 31, complete with a midnight countdown, balloon drop and special guest Mariachi El Bronx.
“There is currently something happening, a finesse and ferocity coming from Morrissey and the band that is unparalleled to anything I’ve seen in my tenure as Morrissey’s guitarist for over 21 years,” Jesse Tobias, Morrissey’s longtime guitarist shared in a recent press release for the shows. “Morrissey and the band will liberate and astound everyone with our forthcoming releases and shows.”
The general on sale for all three Los Angeles shows begins at noon Friday, Dec. 6 at Livenation.com and AXS.com.
This run of performances follows Morrissey’s long-standing reputation as one of the most influential figures in British music. Known for his poetic lyrics and distinct sound, Morrissey first rose to prominence as the lead singer of The Smiths, releasing songs such as “This Charming Man” and “How Soon Is Now?” As a solo artist, he has released 13 studio albums, including fan-favorites like “Everyday Is Like Sunday” and “Irish Blood, English Heart.”
In 2024, Morrissey received the Social Vanguard Award in recognition of his dedication to animal rights, a cause deeply intertwined with his identity. While fans eagerly await his forthcoming album, “Bonfire of Teenagers,” its official release date remains unconfirmed, with anticipation building for its arrival in 2025.
