Monday is the final day to apply for federal disaster assistance

Monday, March 31, is the final day that people impacted by the Los Angeles County wildfires can apply for federal disaster assistance.

The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance is at 8:59 p.m. Residents can apply online, visit a disaster recovery center or call 1-800-621-3362.

Monday is also the final day to apply for loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration for small businesses and nonprofit organizations located in a disaster area.

Finally, anyone who lost their job or can’t work because of the disaster can apply for unemployment, disability or Paid Family Leave benefits.

The deadline to submit right of entry forms for Phase 2 debris removal has been extended to April 15.
