Marvel pressures Disneyland to make Avengers Campus ‘bigger’

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is actively involved in the planning process for the Avengers Campus expansion at Disney California Adventure and very opinionated about the project that will double the size of the super hero land.

Feige and Disney parks chairperson Josh D’Amaro discussed the Avengers Campus expansion at the Disneyland resort that includes two new Marvel-themed attractions during D23 Brazil over the weekend.

“Kevin puts a lot of pressure on me,” D’Amaro said while discussing Avengers Campus during D23 Brazil. “He wants more, he wants bigger.”

Stark Flight Lab looks like two rides in one — featuring a stationary Kuka RoboCoaster motion simulator and separate tracked ride experience. The robot arms will grab the pods and whirl riders around in a simulated flight.

Marvel star Robert Downey Jr., who will play the supervillain Doctor Doom in “Avengers: Doomsday” in 2026, will reprise his role as Iron Man/Tony Stark for both new attractions.

An opening date has not been announced for the two new attractions that will be part of the DCA Avengers Campus expansion.
