LOS ANGELES — A man suspected of assaulting other passengers on a Delta Air Lines flight bound for Los Angeles International Airport on Monday was taken to a hospital for a psychological evaluation.
According to Transportation Security Administration spokesman David Fitz, the man assaulted several other passengers on the Delta flight heading from Atlanta to Los Angeles Monday evening.
It was unclear what motivated the attack, and an investigation into the assault continued Tuesday evening.
ABC7 reported, citing information from the Los Angeles Fire Department and the TSA, that a man was restrained on a Delta flight after he bit one passenger and struck others.
At least one victim was also taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the attack.
