There’s no doubt about it, Vice President Kamala Harris won the debate. Not only did she have a powerful presence on the podium but she seemed well-prepared and more confident than former president Donald Trump. She went about responding to Trump’s accusations formally and managed not to embarrass herself, the same cannot be said about the former president.

Not only were his claims debunked by fact-checkers but the former president managed to create comments that sent the media into a frenzy. The former president claimed that Haitian immigrants were eating pets. Since making this claim the former president has kept pushing it on his social media, people online are now mocking his claim by creating videos of them ‘’cooking’’ their pets as an audio of the former president plays in the background.
Not only did the vice president manage to aggravate Donald Trump but after the debate even Republicans were claiming that the former president did not do his best and lost the debate.
I believe Harris showed her strengths and that she is capable of running this country effectively, she was strong, deliberate, and wasn’t afraid to call out the former president on his inaccuracies. She won and has proven at least to me that she can do this.
