Knott’s and Magic Mountain look to hire 2,000 for seasonal jobs

Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain are hoping to hire 2,000 employees during a weeklong hiring blitz for seasonal jobs operating roller coasters, slinging hamburgers and selling souvenirs at the Southern California amusement parks.

Knott’s and Magic Mountain will host recruiting campaigns on Feb. 15-22 as part of a Six Flags’ nationwide effort to hire 50,000 seasonal employees for its 27 amusement parks and 15 water parks in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Knott’s and Magic Mountain each expect to hire 1,000 seasonal employees. All 2,000 seasonal positions are expected to be filled during the hiring week.

The positions include ride operations, food services, retail sales, parking lot attendants, security guards, lifeguards, guest services and janitorial.

Magic Mountain will host a hiring fair at the Valencia amusement park on Feb. 15 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Knott’s will accept in-person applications at the Buena Park theme park on Feb. 15 and Feb. 18-22.

Both parks are accepting online applications through Feb. 22.

Pay starts at $16.50 at Knott’s and $17.27 at Magic Mountain.

Employee perks include free admission to any Six Flags park, food and merchandise discounts and exclusive ride nights and park events.
