Registration is open for In-N-Out Burger’s Tough Mudder Challenge, taking place Sept 5-7 at Big Bear Lake.
The three-day event features 5K and 10K courses at Bear Mountain with secret obstacles and Double Doubles at the end.
“Think: FOMO like you’ve never felt before,” according to Tough Mudder’s website.
Tough Mudder is a Brooklyn-based presenter of obstacle races. FOMO is an acronym for “fear of missing out.”
The event is a fundraiser for Slave 2 Nothing, a nonprofit set up by In-N-Out’s owner and president Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson and her husband Sean Ellingson. Its mission is to combat substance abuse and human trafficking.
Registration is $146.99 for the 10K, $120.35 for the 5K and $27.75 for a spectator pass to Mudder Village. “Family and Friends” passes are $50-$75. Group packages are available.
Tough Mudder’s website doesn’t list any other events in Southern California.
Slave 2 Nothing already puts on two major fundraisers a year, usually a rock concert in October and a car show in January. This year’s “Cruisin’ 2 Freedom” will take place Jan. 18 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa.
