Here’s where victims of the Los Angeles-area wildfires can get help

As the Palisades and Eaton fires continue to burn in Los Angeles County, government agencies and nonprofits are offering resources and aid to residents whose homes have been damaged or destroyed, as well as to those who have been ordered to evacuate.

From adult clothing to baby supplies to information on filing disaster relief claims, below is a list of services available to those impacted by the wildfires.

Access Pediatric

The telehealth company is providing free pediatric appointments for those seeking answers about the current and long-term effects that poor air quality from the fires may have on their children. Those impacted can visit accesspediatric.com to book an appointment.

Federal Emergency Management Agency

Two disaster resource centers have been opened by FEMA to help. The locations are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at UCLA Research Park West, 10850 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, and at Pasadena City College Community Education Center, 3035 E. Foothill Blvd., Pasadena. Those affected can find help applying for federal aid payments of $770, learn the status of their application, and learn about the appeals process. Applications can also be filled out online at DisasterAssistance.gov.

Free People Shop

The clothing store is offering new clothing, shoes and body care supplies from its stores and partner brands from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Monday, Jan. 18-20, at the Santa Monica location at 1720 Euclid St.

WeWork

The shared workspace company is offering workspace to those affected by using the code CAFIRERELIEF when booking a WeWork ON DEMAND desk during business hours on the app. The code can be used as many times as needed.

Jewish Family Service LA

The SOVA Community Food & Resource Program is providing groceries, essential personal care items and connections to additional resources for individuals and families. SOVA offers kosher options. Best Friends Animal Society

Pet supplies, including pet beds, pet food and cat litter, are provided at two of the organization’s locations: Best Friends Pet Adoption Center, 1845 Pontius Ave. in Los Angeles and Best Friends Clinic, 17411 Chatsworth St., Suite 100 in Granada Hills. FIGS

The healthcare-based company is providing scrubs for healthcare workers affected as well as helping with the costs of childcare and providing meals. Those interested can email HereforLA@wearfigs.com for assistance.

Babyletto

Cribs are being donated to families in need by the nursery furniture brand. Those in need can email info@babyletto.com to request a crib and arrange pick-up at the brand’s warehouse in Pico Rivera.

Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk

The office is providing replacement of vital records, real estate/property records and business filing/registration records at no cost to those impacted by recent wildfires. To access the service, visit a resource center or an RR/CC office, call 800-201-8999 (select Option 1, then Option 2), or email RRCCFireAssistance@rrcc.lacounty.gov.

National Council of Jewish Women, Los Angeles (NCJW|LA)

Free gift cards for local thrift shops run by the group are available for those who need them. To access this resource, contact NCJW|LA’s Supportive Services Manager, Selene Lopez, and Intake Coordinator, Maria Preciado, at info@ncjwla.org.
