The weather forecasts this week included an Air Quality Alert on Wednesday, Dec. 4, and the forecasts said that low clouds and fog in places would be followed later this week with better weather. At the iconic 6th Street Bridge near downtown Los Angeles, the murky sky made for an artistic view of the city.

By Saturday, the sun will be out in full, almost like spring again. But until then those who were planning on warm California days for this holiday season, and are hosting events and gatherings this weekend with neighbors and family, will just have to cross their fingers.
