Gabby Thomas wins 200 Olympic gold; Brittany Brown claims the bronze

SAINT-DENIS, France–Gabby Thomas became the first American woman to win the Olympic Games200-meter gold medal since 2012 with a dominating performance at Stade de France Tuesday night.Thomas, the former Harvard star, got out to one of the best starts of her career, led at 100 meters comingoff the turn opening up a sizable gap and was never threatened finishing in 21.83 seconds.

Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred took the silver medal in 22.08 with Brittany Brown, the former Claremont Highstandout, third in 22.20.
