THE GAME: Freddie Freeman, Hyeseong Kim and Aaron Bracho hit home runs as the Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 6-5 on Saturday afternoon at Camelback Ranch in Glendale.
HITTING REPORT: Bracho’s solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning broke a 5-5 tie. … Kim hit his first home run of the spring, slicing a drive over the wall in the left-field corner in the fifth inning. That was just his second hit of the spring. Kim is batting .125 (2 for 16) with seven strikeouts. … Kim also drew a walk and scored the Dodgers’ first run on an RBI double by Griffin Lockwood-Powell. … Freeman started at DH for the second time in three days and again went 1 for 3, this time with a solo home run. He is expected to play at first base in one of the Dodgers’ split-squad games Sunday. … Teoscar Hernandez followed Freeman’s home run with a double. He moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly by James Outman. Hernandez has started the spring 4 for 13 with two doubles. … The Dodgers tied the score in the seventh inning on an RBI single by Josue DePaula.
PITCHING REPORT: Non-roster right-hander Matt Sauer started and allowed two runs in 2⅔ innings. … Giovanny Gallegos followed Sauer and had the best of his four outings this spring. He faced four batters, retiring them all and striking out three. … Edgardo Henriquez retired the side in order in his inning, striking out one. … Jose Hernandez (back in the Dodgers’ organization after two years with the Pirates) gave up a two-run home run to Jerar Encarnacion in the seventh inning.
