On Valentine’s Day, the DTLA Alliance coalition of 2,000 property owners in Downtown Los Angeles tapped their “downtown guides” to hand out 1,500 roses to office workers, shoppers, visitors, “and anyone strolling in the Downtown Center,” organizers said of the event funded and overseen by DTLA Alliance.
The roses were given out at several downtown locations including Bank of America Plaza, The Bloc, City National Plaza, FourFortyFour South Flower, Maguire Gardens and the US Bank Tower.
DTLA Alliance, founded in 1988, has impacted the efforts to transform downtown into a 24/7 community of business leaders, merchants, artists, entrepreneurs and residents.
Founded in 1998, the DTLA Alliance has been a catalyst for the area’s transformation into a vibrant 24/7 neighborhood. The alliance administers the 65-block downtown center business improvement district.
