Finally, San Fernando Valley residents get a break from the heat waves

A lot of households in the San Fernando Valley will be happy to hear that after weeks and weeks of temperatures in the 90s, and several broiling days well over 100 degrees, this week the Valley will enjoy fall temperatures in the 70s and even some cloudy days.

Most days are expected to have moderate air quality, and that means it will be acceptable for most people but “potentially concerning for sensitive groups” according to weather forecasters.

Other signs that fall is finally here are the long shadows cast by the fall sun that look like artwork — in this case captured by a photographer in North Hollywood.
