Universal Orlando has released some of the first genuine, ground-level photos of its Epic Universe theme park, which is about two months away from its grand opening. The images provide the first looks at the five worlds contained within the attraction: Super Nintendo World; How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk; Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic; Dark Universe, which features classic Universal monsters; and Celestial Park, a cosmos-themed entryway that also features rides and restaurants.
The park has mostly been open to Universal employees who are helping to test attractions and give co-workers training and operational experience. Those days have been no-photos-allowed circumstances. Workers will also be privy to upcoming “friends and family” events. Universal has not yet shared information about passholder previews, but the company is now selling one-day tickets to Epic Universe alongside multiday packages with other parks and hotels.
Here are fresh glimpses of the coming-soon Epic lands.

Epic Universe will rely on a portal theme beginning from the entrance known as the Chronos. The first land encountered will be Celestial Park, which will be home to the Stardust Racers, a dueling roller coaster; Constellation Carousel; some eateries and portals to the other four themed areas.

Visitors who veer left after crossing through Chronos will first encounter the brightly colored Super Nintendo World, which includes Super Mario Land with Yoshi’s Adventure attraction and Donkey Kong Country and its Mine-Cart Madness coaster.

The setting of Dark Universe is Darkmoor Village, and Epic visitors will be introduced to Dr. Victoria Frankenstein inside the animatronic-heavy thrill ride named Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. Also nearby: the Curse of the Werewolf attraction and the vampire-driven quick service restaurant called Das Stakehaus.

The next installment of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will visit both 1920s Paris and then scoot through the Metro-Floo for the 1990s era Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry ride, which involves the trial of Dolores Umbridge.

The Isle of Berk area will feature Vikings and dragons amid multiple attractions, including Fyre Drill water battle, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders roller coaster and “The Untrainable Dragon” stage show.
