East End Studios will bring a TV and film studio to Downtown LA

Development has started on what will be a 245,000 square foot television and film studio in downtown Los Angeles, aiming to solidify the city’s position as the entertainment production capital of the world.

The $230 million project — to be named the East End Studios Mission Campus and located in the Arts District — will feature five stages ranging in size from 14,000 square feet to 35,000 square feet. The development will have as its background the famed Sixth Street Viaduct bridge seen in the background in one rendering of the studio.

Developers this week broke ground on what will be a 245,000 square foot television and film studio in downtown Los Angeles, bolstering the city’s role as the world leader in entertainment production. It will feature five stages ranging from 14,000 square feet to 35,000 square feet, and will include office suites; production, support, commissary and outdoor spaces; parking and direct-to-stage loading. East End Studios is an independent studio management and development company, headquartered in L.A.They also have studios in Queens, New York.
