Driver crashes into roof of Rancho Palos Verdes home

A woman lost control of her car and crashed into the roof of a Rancho Palos Verdes home on Sunday evening, Oct. 20.

The driver apparently lost control and went over an embankment and through the roof of the single-family home on the 2800 block of Santona Drive.

No one inside the home was injured, sheriff’s Sgt. Jeffrey Velasco said.

The driver was trapped inside the car and had to be extricated before she was hospitalized for minor injuries, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

The cause was under investigation.

The homeowner could not be reached for comment.
