Disneyland’s Asian-inspired food festival that pays tribute to Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean traditions will celebrate the Year of the Snake with a lineup of multicultural live entertainment and Disney characters dressed in festive attire.
The 2025 Lunar New Year event will run on Jan. 17 through Feb. 16 at Disney California Adventure.
Disney has not yet announced an official lineup of festival marketplace booths, restaurants and menu items for the 2025 festival at the Anaheim theme park.

Recent lineups of the six festival marketplace booths have included Bamboo Blessings, Wrapped in Love, Lucky 8 Lantern, Red Dragon Spice Traders, Prosperity Bao & Bun and Longevity Noodle Co.

DCA restaurants that offered Lunar New Year menu items in recent years have included Paradise Garden Grill, Lamplight Lounge, Sonoma Terrace and Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta.
Sip and Savor passes that allow visitors to purchase a prepaid card good for individual items at food and beverage stands throughout the festival have been offered during recent Lunar New Year events.

The Lunar New Year procession will be back again with a Mulan float with golden tasseled firecrackers and red and gold lanterns accompanied by traditional Chinese drummers.
The 6-minute “Hurry Home” introduction to the “World of Color” water show that tells the story of a little lantern’s journey home for a Lunar New Year celebration will return once again for the seasonal event.

Live music will be performed daily throughout the festival. Previous performances have featured classical and contemporary Chinese instruments, Vietnamese folk dancers and Korean-American a cappella singers at Paradise Garden and Sonoma Terrace.
Disney and Pixar characters from “Mulan” and “Turning Red” will appear in seasonal attire while Mickey and Minnie will debut traditional Korean-inspired outfits.

In past years, Raya from Disney’s 2021 “Raya and the Last Dragon” animated movie has made appearances in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail area of DCA.
The 2025 festival will celebrate the Year of the Snake — which likely means Kaa from “Jungle Cruise” will play a role in the event.
Disneyland hasn’t announced yet what snake will take the title role in the festival. There are a few other possibilities — Sir Hiss from “Robin Hood” and Juju from “Princess and the Frog” come to mind.
