Disneyland Monorail brings back another perk for the first time in 3 years

Monorail riders have yet another seating option with a unique point of view for the first time in three years during the 13-minute round-trip journey around Disneyland and Downtown Disney.

Disneyland visitors can once again ride in the Monorail tail cone for the first time since 2021, according to WDW News Today.

The Monorail’s rear seats provide a different perspective as the ride moves between the Tomorrowland and Downtown Disney stations.

The newest rider hack follows the return of another perk that has also made a recent comeback on the “Highway in the Sky.”

In mid-September, Monorail riders were allowed back into the nose cone for the first time since March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered the Anaheim theme parks.

The Monorail tail cone was briefly available in 2021 after the attraction reopened following the pandemic closure, but soon closed again, according to WDW News Today.

There are no separate lines for the front or back cabins of the Monorail. Riders can simply ask Disneyland cast members if they can sit in the nose or tail cones.

The Monorail recently returned in mid-September following a month-long refurbishment.
