The CIF State Regional boys and girls basketball championships are Tuesday and five teams from the Daily News area are ready to compete for a spot in the state championships.
Here are previews of the games for the Notre Dame, Sierra Canyon and Chatsworth boys teams:
OPEN DIVISION
Notre Dame (28-7) at Eastvale Roosevelt (33-2), 7 p.m.
Notre Dame beat St. Joseph by two points in order to get a third date with Roosevelt. The Mustangs have beaten the Knights twice already this season and have defeated a total of three Mission League teams in the playoffs — Sierra Canyon, Notre Dame and Harvard-Westlake.
Knights wing Zach White reached 1,000 career points as a junior last week to continue a breakout year of scoring. Six-foot-7 forward Tyran Stokes, another junior, adds physicality to Notre Dame’s scoring efforts and senior point guard Lino Mark ties it all together.
Five-star combo guard Brayden Burries leads Roosevelt in scoring with 29 points per game in addition to 8.9 rebounds per game. Six-foot New Mexico commit Issac Williamson adds an additional 14.3 points per game and Myles Walker is averaging 3.9 steals per game.
DIVISION I
Redondo (28-5) at Sierra Canyon (25-7), 7 p.m.
The top-seeded Trailblazers will play their fourth home game of the regional playoffs Tuesday. Bryce Cofield carried the team offensively with 29 points and nine rebounds in a 68-64 double-overtime win over JSerra on Saturday night.

Bryce James and Maxi Adams can also produce on offense and the whole team is preaching defense in this phase of the playoffs. Gavin Hightower’s decision-making abilities hold the offense together.
Redondo used an 8-0 scoring run in the second half Saturday to beat Mira Costa and move on to the state regional finals. Central Michigan commit Hudson Mayes led the Sea Hawks in scoring with 23 points.
DIVISION II
Bakersfield Christian (24-8) at Chatsworth (25-8), 7 p.m.
The Chancellors avenged an L.A. City Section championship loss by beating Westchester by six points Saturday in the regional semifinals.

Alijah Arenas is the heart of the scoring with 30.4 points per game and Taj Unuakhalu, who also plays volleyball, has used his vertical reach to lead the team in blocks with 3.6 per game and rebounds with 11.6 points per game. He can also be called on to score in the paint when needed.
Bakersfield Christian traveled three hours for its regional semifinal game Saturday against Riverside Poly and once again has a long bus ride to get to Chatsworth. The fifth-seeded Eagles still were able to upset top-seeded Riverside Poly 72-59. Gabriel Gutierrez scored a game-high 38 points.
