This week’s Daily News high school football rankings.
DAILY NEWS FOOTBALL TOP 10
1. Sierra Canyon (7-3 overall)
The Trailblazers became the undefeated Mission League champions for the second year in a row when they beat Serra on Friday. Jae’on Young returned an interception for a touchdown. Massiah Mingo finished with 45 receiving yards, 25 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown and Mikhal Johnson had an 8-yard touchdown reception in addition to four tackles, a tackle for loss and a sack. Nevada Miller had 12 total tackles and four tackles for loss.

2. Oaks Christian (7-3 overall)
The Lions tied for the Marmonte League title after a 28-23 loss to Simi Valley but still earned a spot in the CIF-SS Division 2 playoff bracket. Deshonne Redeaux rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown and Stevie Amar and Matt Watts each hauled in touchdown passes from freshman quarterback Trey Towns, who completed 21 of 38 passes for 166 yards. Christian Knoos recorded 14 total tackles and a tackle for loss.

3. Simi Valley (9-1 overall)
Brice Hawkins rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns in the Pioneers’ first win over Oaks Christian. Jayden Graham and Seth Knight were the leading tacklers with 13 total tackles apiece and Knight had an additional sack and forced a fumble. Jayden Clark blocked a punt and Micah Hannah had two pass breakups.
Next: vs. Notre Dame, Friday, 7 p.m.
4. Newbury Park (10-0 overall)
The Panthers finished off an undefeated regular season by beating Rio Mesa 41-2. Brady Smigiel completed 10 of 13 passes for 185 yards and four touchdowns. Kayin Booker, Alberto Ayon and Shane Rosenthal each caught touchdown passes. Rosenthal had two touchdown receptions in addition to an interception and Carter Taylor finished wit 11 total tackles and two tackles for loss.
Next: vs. San Jacinto, Friday, 7 p.m.
5. Thousand Oaks (6-4 overall)
Running back Justin Lewis finished with 151 rushing yards and three touchdowns as Thousand Oaks concluded its Conejo Coast League schedule with a 34-28 win over Santa Barbara. Jackson Taylor went 14-for-27 passing for 184 yards with touchdown passes to Hayden Vercher and Bret Warner. Luke Sullivan grabbed two interceptions.
Next: at St. Paul, Friday, 7 p.m.
6. Chaminade (3-7 overall)
The Eagles ended their season with a 38-35 win over Bishop Amat. Cameron Pooley passed for 258 yards and a touchdown and Devin Olmande was the leading receiver with 124 yards and a touchdown. Logan Carpenter led the defense with 13 total tackles and an interception.
7. Valencia (6-4 overall)
The Vikings wrapped up an undefeated Foothill League season by shutting out West Ranch. Brady Bretthauer completed 14 of 19 passes for 374 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Brian Bonner added 142 yards and two touchdowns on the ground while Nick Seymour had five receptions for 196 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Ronald Bruner had two interceptions.

8. Notre Dame (5-5 overall)
The Knights beat Loyola 35-34 to help secure a bid to the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs. Steele Pizzella threw for 370 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions and Elliot Cooper and Luc Weaver each ended the game with over 100 receiving yards. Cooper had one touchdown reception and Weaver had two touchdown catches.

9. Hart (8-2 overall)
Hart scored 28 points in the first quarter to beat Saugus and secure second place in the Foothill League. The team’s only loss of the season came against Valencia and they earned a spot in the CIF-SS Division 6 playoffs under first-year Hawks head coach Jake Goossen-Brown.

10. Birmingham (5-4 overall)
The Patriots beat Granada Hills Charter for their third shutout of the West Valley League season. Dredon Fowles led the way on the ground with 145 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Sophomore Brayden Morgan was next with 76 yards on four carries and a touchdown.
