Cow escapes, roams streets of Sylmar

SYLMAR — A cow caused some commotion Thursday in a Sylmar neighborhood and was not able to steer clear of danger.

The wayward cow was on the loose and spotted around 3 a.m. Thursday by neighborhood residents, who called 911 to report the unusual encounter.

Video shows the cow was hit by a car. The cow car crash broke a headlight and knocked the cow to the ground.

In utter disbelief, the driver of the car did not stop to help the cow.

About an hour later, the cow was found and returned to its home on Gladstone Avenue near the Foothill (210) Freeway.

Fox 11 reported the cow was safe and recovering at its home.
