Brush fire breaks out in LA’s Sepulveda Pass

Another brush fire broke out in the Los Angeles area on Thursday evening — this one off the 405 Freeway in the area of North Sepulveda Boulevard.

Watch Duty, a nonprofit that tracks wildfires, said that as of 11:26 p.m. the fire was estimated to be 10 acres, burning in heavy brush in the Sepulveda Pass.

Broadcast reports said the Los Angeles Fire Department had initiated helicopter water drops while ground crews were assembling to fight the fire.

The fire broke out during red flag fire warning conditions for much of L.A. County.
