Bay Area staple Gott’s Roadside restaurant will open in L.A. this fall

Roadside fare is making a road trip from the Bay Area to Southern California starting this fall.

Gott’s Roadside, which is known for hefty and elevated classic American food inspired by roadside diners, will open its first Los Angeles location at the Original Farmer’s Market at  6333 W. Third St., this fall, according to a company press release.

A second location will follow in early 2026 in Santa Monica in a 6,600-square foot indoor space with a 2,200 square-foot outdoor patio at 401 Wilshire Blvd., which was the former home of Osteria.

“After years of searching for an ideal coastal location for Gott’s, we couldn’t be more pleased that the first one will be in Santa Monica,” said Gott’s Roadside President Clay Walker in a statement. “We know our fanbase is excited about our upcoming Farmers Market location, and we didn’t want everyone west of the 405 to be disappointed,” he continued.

Founded in 1999 in the Napa Valley, the James Beard Award-winning restaurant currently has eight locations in Northern California. The menu includes the California Burger, made with fried egg, as well as sandwiches, hot dogs, chili bowls, ahi poke crispy tacos, chicken kale Caesar Salad and hand-spun organic shakes.
