ALTer Ego Festival canceled amid Southern California wildfires

The 2025 ALTer Ego festival, set to feature headliners like Cage the Elephant and Glass Animals, has been canceled due to the devastating wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles. The event was scheduled for this Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood.

In a statement posted on social media, festival organizers expressed their sorrow over the decision: “It is with heavy hearts that we report that we will be canceling our ALTer Ego show this Saturday at the KIA Forum. The devastation from the fires is beyond comprehension. Our thoughts are with the Los Angeles community and listeners who have been affected by this tragedy.”

The statement also extended gratitude to first responders working tirelessly to combat the fires, and added, “We love our city and are putting health and safety first.”

Ticket holders were informed that refunds would be available starting Friday morning after 10 a.m. at their original point of purchase. More information can be found at iheart.com/alter-ego

The cancellation comes as multiple wildfires continue to wreak havoc across the region, with the largest beginning earlier this week in the Palisades area. Fanned by strong winds, the fires have rapidly spread to Hollywood, Pasadena, and Sylmar, prompting widespread evacuations. Reports indicate that nearly 180,000 residents are under evacuation orders or warnings, and at least five fatalities have been confirmed.

This year’s ALTer Ego festival would have marked the eighth annual event hosted by iHeartRadio, showcasing a lineup of contemporary rock artists such as The Lumineers, The Offspring, and St. Vincent, who had been slated to take the stage, alongside a special solo performance by Damiano David of Måneskin.
