Actress Kim Delaney, partner arrested in alleged domestic dispute

MARINA DEL REY — Actress Kim Delaney of “NYPD Blue” fame was arrested on suspicion of felony assault at her home in the Marina del Rey area, authorities said today.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Marina del Rey station responded to a domestic disturbance report at Delaney’s residence shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the department.

After an investigation, Delaney was arrested on suspicion of assault and her partner, James Morgan, was arrested on suspicion of spousal battery, a representative for the sheriff’s station told City News Service.

Later in the day, Morgan bailed out on a $20,000 bond. Delaney was still in custody as of Sunday.

Both Delaney and Morgan are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Delaney, 63, won an Emmy for playing Detective Diane Russell on the long-running ABC drama “NYPD Blue.” She’s also had roles on “All My Children,” “The O.C,” “Army Wives,” “CSI: Miami” and “Chicago Fire,” among other shows.
