A crowd enjoys Porter Ranch Farmers Market’s veggies, flowers and fresh juice

The Porter Ranch Farmers Market is open every Sunday 9am to 2pm, turning the Kaiser Permanente parking lot on the corner of Rinadli & Porter Ranch Drive into a community.

Asaad Y. Alnajjar, leader of Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council and a frequent customer, said, “I definitely enjoy trying the different food stands, cheese and baked products, fruits and vegetables and my favorite is the fish corner where a big variety is offered.”

Among the popular items are fresh raspberries, pickles at “The Crazy Cucumber” booth, and dahlias at vendor Juan Duran’s flower stand.

“Kids love the market too, to explore the products offered. Porter Ranch Farmers Market is a great venue to get our community come together,” said Alnajjar.

He says that for him the market is also a place to meet neighbors, vendors and stakeholders “to better understand the community issues, business impacts, safety concerns and any problems.”
