The California Highway Patrol arrested four people accused of stealing thousands of dollars of retail merchandise in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
Investigators from the highway patrol’s Organized Retail Crime Task Force executed multiple search warrants on Oct. 14 and found $143,746.79 in stolen retail merchandise, the task force announced.
During the investigation, officials identified four people who they believe were involved in at least 10 retail thefts. Investigators also found two addresses in Anaheim and Bloomington that stolen merchandise passed through, the CHP said.
They included photos of rows of suitcases and garbage bags along with the news release about the seizures, but did not say what the stolen items included.
Between Aug. 24 and Sept. 27, the CHP said in the release, the suspects were responsible for around $10,000 in losses.
The four were arrested in Anaheim and booked into jail.
