Three men were stabbed during a fight that broke out in a Pacoima neighborhood early Friday morning, July 5.
Officers took two uninjured men into custody, said Officer Rosario Cervantes, a spokeswoman for Los Angles police.
It wasn’t clear what started the fight in the 12300 block of Osborne Place, reported to police at 12:17 a.m.
“It’s supposed to be a fun event for families and kids to hang out and watch the fireworks,” a neighbor told Key News Network, a news organization that sometimes works with the Southern California News Group.
According to neighbors, the fight broke out, there was a stabbing, a shot fired, someone was throwing bottles and a man who got out of a truck was jumped by others.
Another neighbor told KNN that at one point people were lighting fireworks and throwing them at one another.
“And then a guy got stabbed on his side,” she said. “He was bleeding.”
Officer Cervantes didn’t know the extent of the victims’ injuries and their current medical conditions.
