A magnitude 3.9 earthquake was reported Sunday night in Los Angeles County, centered around 6 miles northwest of Malibu.
It happened at 8:17 p.m., the U.S. Geological Survey reported on its website.
No damage was immediately reported. Quakes generally don’t cause damage below 4.0, according to the USGS.
The quake follows a 4.1 magnitude quake a week earlier in the same general area.
