A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck about four miles north of Malibu, with rumbling sent through the San Fernando Valley, parts of the South Bay and elsewhere on Friday afternoon, Nov. 22.
The quake struck about 2:15 p.m., 3.1 miles from Malibu and at a depth of about six miles, according to data from the U.S. Geological Survey.
It reportedly also was felt along the coast in Orange and Los Angeles counties, USGS maps show. Shaking in those areas was mostly described as weak and light.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
