LOS ANGELES –Two people were injured in a shooting outside the Target store at the FIGat7th shopping mall in downtown Los Angeles on Monday night and taken to a hospital.
Officers responded near the 700 block of South Figueroa Street, near Seventh Street, around 8:55 p.m. to reports of shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Two victims were taken to the hospital, one of whom is presumed to be a security guard, due to unknown injuries sustained from the shooting.
Investigators described the suspect as a White man with afro-styled hair, last seen wearing a gray shirt, pants, and a scarf while traveling either north or south on Figueroa Street, according to police. He is around 25 years old, ABC 7 reported.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and detectives were conducting an investigation Monday evening.
