2 men hurt in Van Nuys shooting

LOS ANGELES — Two men were wounded Saturday after being shot in the Van Nuys area of Los Angeles.

The shooting was reported at 5:45 p.m. Saturday in the 6800 block of Costello Avenue, at Vanowen Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Cervantes told City News Service.

The men, believed in their 20s, were shot by a male suspect who fled the scene in an unknown direction, Cervantes said.

The two victims were taken to a hospital, where they had stable vital signs, she said.

The shooting was believed gang-related Cervantes said.
