A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot and five men were hospitalized after a fight at a Woodland Hills house party ended in a shooting early Sunday morning, Feb. 9, police said.
The shooting was reported around 1:30 a.m. on the 5900 block of Winnetka Avenue. According to witness statements, a male suspect was seen arguing with multiple party attendees and was being escorted out when he fired numerous shots at partygoers outside the home, Los Angeles Police Officer Norma Eisenman said.
A 16-year-old died at the scene. The other male victims, between 19- to 34-years-old, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
It was unclear what the argument was about or if the suspect was also a party guest.
The house is described as an “LA mega-mansion” and vacation rental on booking.com.
No arrests have been made. No additional information was available.
