You can now rent Michael Jordan’s former mansion — for $230,000 a month

The dream of living at Michael Jordan’s Highland Park mansion just became a little more attainable.

Well, as long as you have just under a quarter of a million dollars.

The new owner of the basketball icon’s 2700 Point Lane estate is renting out the property for $230,000 per month, according to a listing updated on Tuesday. Information about terms and fees was not immediately available, but the advertisement promised “an unforgettable month of luxury living” on the 7-acre prooperty. The 56,000-square-foot house includes nine bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a basketball court, cigar room, movie theater, tennis court, putting green and swimming pool.

Suburban real estate executive John Cooper purchased Jordan’s former abode for $9.5 million in December and branded it Champion’s Point. (The estate had previously been on the market for more than a decade, with its most recent list price at $14,855,000.)

Then, in January, the Nebraska native opened bidding at $1 million each for a limited number of ownership shares of the property, built in 1995. Co-owners were promised access to the property for the same week each year, along with transportation, private chefs and other “luxury add-ons” for an additional fee. Bids are still available, according to realtor.com.

Those with a little less money to spend can now have access to the property, promoted in the listing as a “sports-lovers sanctuary.”

According to that same realtor.com report, Cooper, shortly after purchasing the property, said he did not have “any major renovation plans. I will honor the property’s legacy.”
