WWE Superstar ‘Sick and Tired’ of Steelers and Aaron Rodgers

The calendar has now turned to May, and the Pittsburgh Steelers still haven’t signed future first-ballot Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers back for at least one more year.  Steelers GM Omar Khan pulled the trigger on Penn State quarterback Drew Allar in the third round of last week’s NFL Draft. However, Rodgers is far and away the best option for the team in 2026.

As the uncertainty around a Rodgers return continues, some folks in the media are starting to get very annoyed. One of those people is WWE superstar and Good Morning Football co-host Seth Rollins. A known Bears fan, Rollins once again voiced his displeasure on Thursday about Rodgers still being a free agent.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers Haven’t Stirred the Rumor Pot Much

GettyIf he re-signs with the Steelers, Aaron Rodgers would become one of three quarterbacks in NFL history to have played at least 22 seasons. Here is what Rollins had to say about his own feelings towards Rodgers for being the center of attention this offseason:

“I am so sick and tired of this conversation because we know what’s going to happen…Aaron Rodgers is going to come back for his 22nd season in the NFL. (The Steelers) are going to win a few games. They’re not going to be very good. They’re not going to make the playoffs. Then, are we going to have this conversation again next year?”

To be fair, Rodgers has played a very, very long time. He deserves to take his time on a decision as he is on the 18th hole of his storied career. After all, it is very hard to say goodbye to the game you’ve given your life to. Furthermore, Rodgers hasn’t said very much outside of his Pat McAfee Show appearance earlier this offseason. All of the rumors and noise swirling around the Steelers and Rodgers have been created and pushed by other outlets. Not a lot of official things have been said or agreed to since the end of the season.

The Steelers Likely Need Aaron Rodgers Back

GettyAaron Rodgers guided the Steelers to their first AFC North title in five years last season.

Under the new leadership of head coach Mike McCarthy, who has the chance to reunite with Rodgers after a great 13-year run with the Green Bay Packers (2006-2018), the Steelers will look to improve their 25th-ranked offense from a season ago. In order to do that, it will have to start with bringing Rodgers back. The four-time MVP and Super Bowl MVP recorded 25 total touchdowns and just seven interceptions in 2025. While he wasn’t his 2011 MVP self, he was the offense’s most valuable player game in and game out.

With the free-agent additions of two-time 1,000-yard wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and back-to-back 1,000-yard rusher Rico Dowdle, the Steelers have a great chance to be way more productive on offense. When you take into account McCarthy’s ability to develop and mold great quarterbacks and offenses, Steelers fans should be excited about what is to come in 2026. But again, it all starts with Rodgers at the top.
