Woman injured in shooting near San Francisco Airport hotel

SAN FRANCISCO – A woman was injured in a shooting Monday night near the Grand Hyatt Hotel at San Francisco International Airport, according to police and media reports.

The shooting was reported just before 8 p.m., KGO-TV reported.

Officers found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound, a San Francisco Police Department spokesperson said in a social media post. The victim was taken to an area hospital to be treated for the injury, which was not considered life-threatening.

The spokesperson said the shooting occurred near a roadway and not inside an airport building.

“This was not an active shooter,” the spokesperson said in the post.

Police did not announce any arrests in the shooting.

Shortly before 10 p.m., the airport said in a social media post that operations were returning to normal and airlines had received permission to deplane.
