A woman’s car was shot up while driving on DuSable Lake Shore Drive Thursday morning on the Near South Side, according to Chicago police and fire officials.

The 34-year-old woman was southbound in the 2000 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive around 9:20 a.m. when a shooter inside a dark colored SUV opened fire after pulling up to the drivers side of her car, Chicago police said.

The woman’s car sustained damage but she was not shot, police said.

She “may have suffered minor injuries from shattered glass” but declined to be taken by paramedics to a hospital, fire department spokesperson Larry Langford said.
