A woman was fatally shot Sunday evening in northwest suburban Barrington.
Around 5:40 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Russell Street and found a 42-year-old woman who suffered an apparent gunshot wound, Barrington police said.
The unidentified woman was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital where she died, police said.
Detectives continue to investigate but no arrests were announced.
