A woman was in custody after she shot another woman in her legs during a fight early Friday in Grand Crossing on the South Side.
Around 1 a.m., the two women, 35 and 37, were arguing in the 7000 block of South Eberhart Avenue when the argument became physical, Chicago police said.
The older woman then shot the younger woman in her legs, police said.
The younger woman was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was in fair condition, officials said.
A firearm was recovered at the scene.
The older woman was placed in custody and charges were pending.
