The Greater Lake Tahoe Area and the Mammoth Mountain Area are under a winter weather advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 8:22 a.m. The advisory is in effect until Monday, Mar. 3 at 4 p.m.
The NWS Reno NV states to prepare for, “Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches along the Sierra Crest. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Sunday evening and Monday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches,” according to the NWS. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
