Wind advisory issued for Bay Area until 2 a.m. Monday

Bay Area is under a wind advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 12:34 a.m. The advisory is valid from 5 p.m. until Monday, Mar. 17 at 2 a.m.

The NWS San Francisco CA said, “South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure loose outdoor objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.”
