As the masses tune in to the frenzy that unfolds around the actual March Madness college basketball tournament, The Denver Post’s readers are participating in their own bracket, crowning the spot serving the best green chile in the metro — in one matchup by the thousands.
These are the restaurants moving on to the Final Four of our green chile food bracket:

Brewery Bar II, at 150 Kalamath St. in Denver, has plaques framed around its walls proclaiming the various popular awards it has won in its 69-year history. (Several of these are related to its green chile recipes.)
Los Dos Potrillos has five locations in the Denver metro, none of which is in the city proper (although it is getting close to opening one at 4100 E. Mexico Ave.). It advances with 61% of the vote over a Denver diner destination, Sam’s No. 3, in a competitive matchup that drew nearly 6,000 votes. The other matchups drew fewer than 2,000 votes each.
The Original Chubby’s, at 1231 W. 38th Ave. in Denver, received 65% of the vote over Tamales Moreno in Lakewood. The famed counter-order restaurant opened in 1967.
Santiago’s Mexican Restaurant has more than 30 locations in the Front Range, five of which are in Denver proper.
