Waukegan man arrested in 2022 expressway shooting

A Waukegan man was arrested in connection with a 2022 shooting on the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago.

Miguel Gonzalez, 47, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of opening fire at a vehicle and striking a motorist traveling northbound on I-90 near Fullerton Avenue about 4:30 a.m. Oct. 22, 2022, Illinois State Police said.

The driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gonzalez was charged with one count of aggravated battery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm, state police said.

He was being detained until his next court appearance.
