Warriors Announce Starting Lineup vs Suns for Final NBA Play-In Game

The Golden State Warriors are playing for their season on Friday night.

Earlier this week, the Warriors entered the NBA Play-In Tournament as the 10th seed, facing the surging Los Angeles Clippers.

Despite the Clippers hitting such a hot streak throughout the second half of the year, following their disappointing start, the Warriors managed to take them out.

Steph Curry had a vintage performance, dropping 35 points on 12-23 shooting from the field, knocking down seven of his threes. The veteran big man Kristaps Porzingis accounted for 20 points on 8-12 shooting in 28 minutes.

The Warriors defeated the Clippers 126-121. LA was sent home for good.

As for the Suns, they suffered a disappointing loss against the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this week. Although the Blazers entered the 2025-2026 NBA season with low expectations, they are now in the playoffs as the seventh seed.

The Warriors are looking for an opportunity to make up for the down year they’ve been having.

The Warriors are going to roll with Steph Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Gui Santos, Draymond Green, and Kristaps Porzingis on Friday night.

Once again, Golden State will rely heavily on the offensive attack from Curry.

Although Curry missed a large chunk of the NBA season due to a knee injury, which he is still fighting through, the 37-year-old veteran is motivated to make this year worth it for his teammates and himself.

In 43 games, Curry averaged 26.6 points per game on 46.8% shooting from the field. He connected on 39.3% of his threes.

The Warriors are also counting on their veteran forward, Draymond Green, to bring the same defensive intensity to the court. The 36-year-old was a standout on the defensive side of the ball against the Clippers, and he’ll search for the same success against Phoenix.

When the Warriors and the Suns met four times during the regular season, Golden State posted a 3-1 record. Their only loss against Phoenix came on December 18. The Suns knocked off the Warriors by one point.

Phoenix and Golden State are tipping off in Arizona at 10 PM ET.
