Someone smashed a glass door at Lou Mitchell’s on West Jackson Boulevard early Sunday morning, Chicago police said.
The incident occurred at 4:31 a.m., and no injuries were reported, police said. Nothing was taken from inside.
According to a staff member at the 101-year-old Chicago eatery, someone threw a rock through the glass door. The staff member said they don’t know if the incident was captured on surveillance video, but the restaurant opened Sunday as the staff waited for the debris to be removed and the window boarded up.
The owners of Lou Mitchell’s didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
No one is in custody.
