UPDATE: Miami Heat Make Tyler Herro Announcement Before Wizards Game

On Friday night, the Miami Heat will face off against the Wizards in Washington, D.C.

The Heat most recently lost to the Toronto Raptors by a score of 128-114.

Tyler Herro finished with 15 points, four rebounds and four assists while shooting 6/12 from the field and 3/5 from three-point range in 28 minutes of playing time.

UPDATE: Tyler Herro has been ruled out (h/t Underdog NBA).

For Friday’s game, the Heat have announced that Herro is being listed as questionable on the injury report.

Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald wrote: “Heat injury report for tonight vs. Wizards:

Questionable: Tyler Herro (right foot soreness), Davion Mitchell (right shoulder contusion) and Norman Powell (right groin soreness).

Out: Nikola Jovic, Terry Rozier and Dru Smith.”

Herro is having another very productive year for Miami.

He is averaging 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 38.4% from three-point range in 32 games.

The Heat are the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 41-39 record in 80 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak (and have lost seven out of ten).

Following the Wizards, the Heat will play their final game of the 2026 regular season on Sunday when they host Jalen Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks in Miami.

The Heat have made the NBA Finals twice since the 2020 season.

That said, they are coming off a year where they got swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.

This year, the Heat will once again have to win two games in the play-in tournament to reach the playoffs.

The Wizards have had a very tough season.

They are the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 17-63 record in 80 games.

Currently, the Wizards are in the middle of an eight-game losing streak.

The franchise last made the NBA playoffs in 2021 when they had Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal on their roster.
